02/19/2007 - New York, NY (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Detroit Red Wings left wing Henrik Zetterberg, Anaheim Ducks right wing Teemu Selanne and Colorado Avalanche center Joe Sakic have been named the NHL's Three Stars for the week ending February 18.

Zetterberg, who was also the first star last week, notched eight points (four goals, four assists) in three games for the Red Wings, who went 2-1 last week and moved into first place in the Central Division and Western Conference with 82 points, one better than Nashville. Zetterberg was in on all eight Red Wings goals, having an assist in a 6-1 loss to Philadelphia on February 12, the game-winning goal and two assists in a 3-1 win in Dallas on Wednesday and notched his first career hat trick and added an assist in a 4-1 victory over the Coyotes on Saturday. Zetterberg leads the Red Wings in scoring with 64 points (30 goals, 34 assists).

Selanne also has eight points (four goals, four assists) in the week to earn the second star. He was held pointless in a 2-0 loss to Colorado on Tuesday, but bounced back with two goals, including the game winner, and an assist in a 5-4 overtime victory in Phoenix on Thursday. On Saturday he notched one goal and one assist in a 3-2 overtime victory against the Los Angeles Kings and recorded a goal and two assists in a 4-3 overtime loss to the Kings on Sunday. Selanne leads the Ducks and is in 10th place in the league with 71 points (36 goals, 35 assists) in 60 games.

Sakic's eight points (two goals, six assists) helped lead him to the third star as the Avalanche went 2-2 during the week. He recorded one assist on Monday in a 2-0 victory over the Ducks. He notched two goals, including No. 600 in his career, and three assists in a 7-5 win over Calgary on Thursday. He finished the week with a single assist in losses at Calgary, 5-2, on Saturday and Vancouver, 5-4, on Sunday. He leads the Avalanche with 70 points (26 goals and 44 assists) and is 12th on the points list in the league.

The 2009 AP NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year odds have been released and Denver Broncos' running back Knowshon Moreno has been made the opening favorite.

Bet NFL Sports Lines

Moreno was selected in the first round of April's NFL draft and is expected to carry the rushing load for the Broncos this season. And with Jay Cutler now in Chicago, Moreno might be expected to be Denver's entire offense.

Betting Lines from sports betting lines have made Moreno a 5/2 favorite to win this year's Offensive Rookie of the Year Award. Fellow running back Chris “Beanie” Wells (Arizona Cardinals) is right behind Moreno at 7/2, while Donald Brown (Indianapolis Colts) and receiver Michael Crabtree (San Francisco 49ers) are 5/1 to win. Quarterbacks Mark Sanchez (New York Jets) and Matthew Stafford (Detroit Lions) are 7/1 and 8/1, respectively.

A couple of players who present some value are Josh Freeman, Shonn Green and Darrius Heyward-Bey.

Freeman needs to beat out Byron Leftwich to become the starting quarterback of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers but if he does, he has a lot or raw talent and could use the weapons around him (i.e. Kellen Winslow Jr. and Antonio Bryant) to be very successful in his first season.

Green enters a crowded backfield in New York, but considering both Thomas Jones and Leon Washington are unhappy about their contract situations and might holdout, the former Iowa product could become the Jets' primary back.

Everyone was shocked when Al Davis took Heyward-Bey with the eighth overall pick in April's draft, but the kid has a tremendous amount of talent and if quarterback JaMarcus Russell takes the next step this year, the former Maryland product could blossom. Plus, Heyward-Bey will be looking to prove the people wrong who said Oakland should have taken Michael Crabtree with the No. 8 pick.

And if you're looking for a deep sleeper, check out Pat White at 30/1. He enters the Miami Dolphins vaunted “Wild Cat” offense and could be a big time playmaker.
